Era New Horizons Film Festival outdoor movies, Wroclaw, Poland

Era New Horizons (Era Nowe Horyzonty) is an international film festival dedicated to boundary-pushing cinema — films that go against contemporary trends and use their own inimitable language. The festival began in 2001 in Cieszyn, western Poland, and moved to Wrocław in 2006. Previous editions have screened Almodóvar's Talk to Her, Ozon's Eight Women, and Sokurov's Russian Ark, shot in a single take inside the Hermitage in St. Petersburg.

The 2008 edition saw competitions, retrospectives, concerts at Wrocław's opera house, and parties at the Arsenal building — plus outdoor movie events on a giant inflatable screen operated by DobreKino, which drew enthusiastic crowds.
